Ramadhan

Ramadhan is coming guys, remember...the month when you turn a Muslim...opps...I mean the month you become a better Mo'min...

I don't know the fuss about Muslim respecting Islam more than anything during this month.

TV channels have to be sorted, porn to be deleted off the PC, magazines to be thrown out, clean cloths to be sorted, no more chatting with the girlfriend, no more going to the clubs, no more listening to the music, buy nasheed cassettes, Alcohlics who before Ramadhan say its very difficult to quit just make it easier for the whole month.

WHY?

Other than this month when we fast we arent Muslims? i am waiting to see the Masjid on the first day Fajr prayers when the Masjid will be packed like its a friday afternoon prayer. Wow, good going Muslims...it reminds me of the story when drunk man with a prostitute in hands and beer in the other hand is offered a pork bbq and gets offended...

people really do surprise me!!!

Traffic accident deaths

Just was reading newspaper 3 days back...the paper said 16 dead for this week in the Sultanate of Oman...wow...16 dead in one week...we were shock and the whole night at our "jalsa"...that was our topic...16 dead...what could cause such a disaster and then we found out that the number is less than the week before it which was 19 deaths...what are these drivers doing killing themselves and others...being two minutes late is better than never reaching...that's what we have learnt from our elders and keep pasing on to others...but what are these guys thinking?!!?!?

the reasons we came up with after fighting for about an hour on why deaths are caused due to accidents?:
Wrong Over taking & Tail gating

those were the two main reasons we could come up with after us 7 guys fighting for an hour...speed is just a catalyst to the process...yes those were the words used ...speed doesnt kill...its the wrong distance keeping from the vehicle infront of you is what causes the deaths...not the speed...

ah well...and what, on the 17, the sunday...6 people die in adam in one crash...a Toyota Corolla head on head collision with a 2.7 toyota Hilux...irony both toyotas...on a serious side...6 deaths...on spot...did the family of 5 deserve to die in corolla because the driver of hilux was in a hurry?

What's with men? They really are dogs...and i am a man too...is it their mistake or the girls are just too needy now that they cant resist the dogs...

i never mean to break hearts but again..i m just a man and whenever i get an innocent bone, i will take my chances and have a bite of it...

Salalah! Khareef! Fun?

So ya, atlast visited...its nice to be in a place where you are covered with mist and fog all the time, light rain falling on your skin...the cold chilly feeling...would do anything to get that feel...but what's with people...yes you are tourists, but not like this!!!

You get anywhere anytime and waste the whole land...just hate these people who do that. Dont you understand if you waste the land you cant see the same beauti the next year. fine you dont want to, but others do!

And what's with the shopping you girls...its like, you havnt seen anything in your life..paying anything to get anything?! a mare "Majmar" (incent burner) for 16 freaking rials!!! i thought it would cost nothint more than 2 rials, but people seem to be paying anything for anything...they just, want to finish the money!

I bought a cream for 300bzs which the lady while i was standing there bought it infront of me for a rial and the salesman asked me to shut up...what's wrong, dont you know the prices in your own country!?

in the end...its an amazing experience seeing new kinds of flowers...innit?!

Khareef Salalah ... you must be kidding me

Rumours? I wouldn't know. How would I know as I have not been there yet, but just recieved an Email from guys saying that they have increased the rents of apartments for one day from 30rials last years rates to 180rials...What the hell?!

How ministry of tourism wants to promote the tourists to get to a place to enjoy their stay while they have to pay 180 a night!! what are we in Switzerland? yes it looks like it much, we i guess for that money they would rather get in Yemen and pay penny's than being in Oman and paying so much for just a night.

If its guys like us, we dont mind sleeping out at open, but what about the families etc.
Atleast crown plaza Salalah charges 75rials+17%tax per night for a normal room...but that's for one person, not a family...wow...the rates to see beauti...

Oh ya, and there was no fuel yesterday at Haima petrol station, so guys who coming down from Muscat (or any of that places) and thinking of filling at Haima, there was no fuel, i dont know how they poor did it cuz the next fuel station would be about 30clicks away at Bahja which is a different road than the government road. If people dont know that route, they are surely stuck and would return back to Adam to refuel, because after that point there is no fuel station for next 150clicks...wow...good going ministry of tourism!!!

Accident streeks

Whats going on with people these days? They are nothing but suiciders on roads. I mean, dont really care about others on the road, but you have your own life to save.
Are these people one's who dont have families? or they are so selfish that family doesnt matter to them? i mean if you are driving crazy and get into an accident, your death or injuries DO really effect more than just yourself. or they think that they are superbeings and nothing so far has happened to their friends will not happen to them? It will happen, its just a matter of time!

I mean look at things like couple of days back, a drunk man in the middle of the day driving at high speed gets a puncture in the tyre. Now i am not sure, but maybe because he is drunk, he parks on the other side of the road (incoming traffic side). He starts walking towards the traffic but guess what, he is on the main high way...not just any main highway, but on the interstat road, a car comes in and about to hit him, but he is saved and he just falls on the ground (ofcourse he would as he cant control his body functions of stability). What happened here? nothing big! not until a second car came speeding while he was on the ground. The second car didnt see him wearing the color of his disdasha, and runs over his leg!!

ouch!!

yes i know, he didnt expect this. He wasnt fully drunk, he just had a can or two of beer, but his body could handle that? or should we blame the unattentive drivers who were rushing down the road not caring about what's on the ground!

Who is to be blamed...drivers...
